I met this one girl who is a citizen of United States, and would marry me for a green card. She is my good friend, and wants to help me out be a permanent resident without any conditions. I am a F1 visa holder, living in the states for last 3 years, and still have 2 years on my VISA. I know it is better to apply a green card from work later, and the whole thing is not a big issue. However, i have seen some of my elders not getting work after they graduate, and had struggled to get a green card.
I need help from all the sajhaites. I am going to do as your majority opinion, as I do not feel okay to ask my parents and friends about it. Do I get married for the green card when someone is ready to help me, or do I wait??
Also how does the whole process work if I want to apply for one. How long does it take? Will I have any problems in the future with having a marriage and divorce filed? Thank you in advance for your help...
