Our electrical engineering program at the University of Maryland is ranked 14th in the nation and 7th among public universities, and 1st among all public universities in the Northeast, according to the U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Graduate Schools." Our computer engineering program is U.S. News & World Best Graduate Schoolsranked 17th in the nation, 8th among public universities, and 1st among all public universities in the Northeast.

The Clark School's graduate engineering programs collectively rank 17th in the nation and 10th among all public universities. From a regional perspective, the Clark School is ranked 5th among all East Coast engineering programs, and 2nd among East Coast public engineering programs.

The University of Maryland was also ranked 2nd in plasma physics, and 5th in atomic/molecular/optical physics.

The Clark School's undergraduate programs in engineering at Maryland collectively rank 25th in the nation and 15th among all public universities, according to the U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges." Maryland's computer engineering program is ranked 20th.

The University of Maryland is ranked 18th among U.S. public universities by U.S. News & World Report. Maryland has 32 programs in the top 10, 51 in the top 15, 67 in the top 20, and 79 in the top 25.

The University of Maryland Clark School of Engineering is ranked 13th in the world in the 2007 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU).

The University of Maryland Clark School of Engineering is ranked 6th in The Princeton Review's 2007 Top 20 Graduate Engineering Programs.

The University of Maryland nanotechnology program was rated #5 in the nation for education and #7 for research in 2007 by Small Times magazine.

When last evaluated by the National Research Council, the ECE department's Ph.D. program was ranked 9th among all electrical engineering programs in public institutions, and 17th overall.

The Kiplinger 100 Best Values in Public Colleges ranked University of Maryland 13th in 2007.
