i am not a big fan of girija and all other old-farts-good-for-nothing leaders. if india had encroached upon our lands in the past (tanakpur et. al. ), apart from india's double standards/hypocricies, our own leaders' failure to defend was equally accountable.
that said, our awareneness and recent transformation have given me reasons to believe that in the future, we will be more safe than vulnerable in the eyes of india/indians. if you followed the recent news, former foreign secretary of india Shyam Saran has reiterated that india is willing to revise the 1950 indo-nepal treaty. that's a welcoming gesture and i feel optimistic about it. we need to apply ourselves with adequate defense and logic so that there is no room for discrepancies in the deal.
if the neighbor is willing to help you, you better shake hand with them instead of doubting on their motives. some people can't get enough of whining and shedding tears. once bitten, twice shy? jeez....
