TOGETHERNESS
Everynight, when the quietness
Takes over the entire neighborhoods
It reminds me of
What a desperate craving I had
to hide in the warmth of your arms
Every nippy morning, when the freak' 'samaya'
forces me to rush to the work, I remember-
how soothing I used feel
with a hot cup of 'chiyaa' that you used to make for me
Every final days, when the pressure
raises up to my eyeballs
I feel encouraged-as the way
You used to be happy in my annual school grades,
like the flower blooming in its
full mood and flies dancing in the petals
Tonight, oh boy! , millions miles away from you
sitting all alone and misty eyed
gazing the midnight moon and
praying to the God, all I can say is
I'm deeply indebted-Mom and will remain indebted forever
for your greatness and patience
