Gas Tax Holiday: Some Ramblings and Musings

right on BB. first off, the idea of the gas tax holiday is asking for a huge debt for the nation in a short run. secondly the windfalls profit tax is not gonna make up for it. and where is hillary gonna take money from for other causes like energy conservation where she previously planned of spending the windfall tax for? third and the most important, she/mc cain are not going to be able to pass this from Bush's government as Bush himself opposes it vehemently. so all in all, this is nothing but pandering.

another thing: from the trends of primary voting so far, what i have come to realize is that most of the supporters, whether they be of Obama or Clinton, are not going to leave their camps even with all these issues popping up every week. i think even the rev. wright's issue is not going to make Obama lose his previous base voters. the increasing swing voters could be of a little concern for him though at the moment. but i don't think voters who have supported him zealously so far will leave him just like that.

interesting tally for tomorrow though.

my take: NC for Obama and IN for Hillary. (although hoping Obama clinches both states)
