Its not about who brought the proposal, its about what will be the consequences. I have question in mind. The ethnic war in nepal was ignited by Maoist and started right from Terai. What I believe and think is the only reason behind is: Maoist used the ethnic slogan just to reach here. I mean here at this point. Point of political inflation. They made it. Now, what I see from here is increasing dis-integrity, a dangerous separatist activity. The first is now" Independent terai "movement. Maoist are now hesitating in this issue and have moved back some steps. Last time in one of his interviews ( I guess first after CA, in kantipur daily) Dr. Bhattarai said all the people in terai should agree for this "move". By saying that, what I have calculated, he is trying to say there should be referendum. As maoist are saying people have approved YCL by voting them, people from terai have also approved free terai movement by voting MRJF and other madesh parties. List goes long
What I am trying to say here is JUST DON'T BE SO CHAUVINIST. Country needs a neutral and legitimate support from PEDANT like you.
