I don't see anything wrong with the language as long as it serves the purpose of communication. Apparently, the pronoun/verb distinction came from the aristocratic families. The upper echelons see the usage as an etiquette more than the combination of words for the communication. Again nothing wrong! 

It's wrong when the conversation requires the non-speaker to force him/her to speak that way. It's then a humiliation. Seemingly, it’s a condescending inference of the situation but not the disposition of the people participating in the conversation.

The showdown of the egos is inevitable. The victor has been pre-announced. Even the faintest blow will K/O the KING.
