I don't understand Kunda Dixit's embarassment either.  What was embarassing about movies like Pandhra Gate, Mukundo, Numafung?  If there is anything to be embarassed about it would be the fact that Kagbeni's plot is not original but based on a rather well known book (The Monkey's Paw).
