Gaule bhai Sachin will break the record in years time. So what he has already played a lot more test matches than Lara. It would have been impressive if he would have done it on a lot less test matches. Thats why i always said trying to be not out to make your average look good  may make batsman's record seem better but it is more runs they score will always serve for team's cause and lara has done that.
