This is being posted as a reminder to the campus community that the perpetrators of the recent hate crimes/vandalism have not been apprehended and to assure everyone is aware of the most recent incident.
At 8:40 a.m., Thursday, December 27, 2007, Public Safety received a report that a swastika with the name “Hitler†under the symbol had been drawn on an inside wall of the west elevator in W. W. Holes Residence Hall. Interviews have confirmed this hate crime/vandalism was NOT present in that elevator before 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2007. Details such as size of the symbol, writing style of the name and location of this symbol within the elevator are not being released as such detail may be of value in the on-going investigation of this incident.
Request for Information
This bias-motivated act is being investigated by the Public Safety Department and the St. Cloud Police Department. Your assistance is sought in efforts to identify and hold accountable the responsible person(s).
