I went to a college near Beckley, WV 12 years ago. Then I moved to Chicago and then to New York City and now I am in New Jersey.
I have met more racist profiling in New York City than in West Virginia. That also mostly from blacks and hispanics.
Personally, I have never had any problem with the rednecks in WV. Most of them were actually curious to know about Nepal.
But that's just my experience.
I know States like Alabama and West Viriginia are known for racist whites. May be I never met them.
