If the girl who's engaged does not even like him, then there's no harm at all to get married with the girl he dearly loves. Infact, that's what he should do-marry the girl who loves him back amd mot the one who does not even like him despite being engaged. It is sad that even today people have to get married to someone whom they do not like following family pressure. I am not against arranged marriage but certainly against forceful/pressured marriage.

Your friend should follow his heart or he might regret his whole life. Good Luck to him!
