>>>They respect women, give them time to do their personal stuffs and even help them in the kitchen.... This may seem such small things but very much deeply count to women life.

Natali1, I think this statement is slightly exaggerated. I am not sure if I live with a random sample of Nepalis to make a strong statement one way or the other, but I think there is a wide variation in the types of Nepali men even here in the U.S., ranging from those who invite guests and play cards in the living room the entire time while their wives cook in the kitchen, to those who really seem to care about their wives and do not hesitate to show it. So, I am not sure if you can generalize all Nepali men in the U.S. being different from all men in Nepal! (I guess the bottom line is that do not rule out men in Nepal for this reason alone).

I am not in an intense search of "Miss Right" yet nor am I an expert on relationships/marriages :), but the more I come to think about it, the more I am inclined toward believing that meeting the person your parents find for you may be the best strategy to go about it. And an increasing number of people seem to go with that strategy nowadays (again, I can't claim to be around a random sample of Nepalis) which essentially is an intermediate between a fully arranged marriage and met-in-a-bar marriage. I think it makes sense also because, personally, as I grow older, I find myself moving away from the search for the big-breast-ed, big-butt-ed, cutest-face-d, Aisharya-Rai-like woman toward a charming, average-looking, practical girl--something that my parents would look for in a girl for me anyway!

Anyway, good luck with the search. I hope you meet Mr Right sometime soon. Would love to see your search end on a very happy note. Consider crashing a few random Nepali parties! And if you run into a 26 year old Nepali guy doing the same, feel free to guess who that is. :)
