One of the reasons our region remain undeveloped is that we've no sense of philantropy. We have no feeling of generosity. I've no hard feelings against him for this construction, but we also need to contribute to our society which made us. Has he even donated 0.001% of the money worth of this building?

The same thing happens in Nepal. The rich people prefer to spend lavishly in marriage parties and perhaps never even donate a slightest portion of the amount spent on these parties to the society.

The feeling of generosity and the will to lend hards to the needy people are one of the reasons that I like in this country. Perhaps we may have some faults in our own culture or religion or might be we are picking only the wrong manipulated ones like the need to sacrifice animals in the name of pleasing gods.

I can't find one post by nepali blogger who wrote an article on Amitabh Bachhan's donation of a diamond ring worth of crore rupees to the hindu temple getting the headlines in all indian newspapers while thousands of poor farmers were committing suicide with the fear of not being able to pay the loans because of severe drought. I salute the people like Warren Buffet.
