I am still debating whether US presidential elections should go into "Politics" or "Current Affairs" in the absence of guidelines. This might be case where a post overlaps two sections, but I think it would help if we could come up with a rough set of guidelines  to avoid confusion."

Current affairs section should have articles that deal with what's happening now. So a piece on US elections belongs there. For example, if we are to post something on Darfur and Davos we can post it there. But if we are posting a piece on why Panchayat was good or why September 11 happened or what happened during the Regan Presidency, it can go on the Politics section. This is how I would go about it.

But let's make sure that we only post articles that are less technical and easily understandable to all. Those difficult to understand, technical, theoratical etc. can go to Politics. This is, of course, my personal view.
