I didn't vote for Prashant. Though he is of nepali race, in fact he is an Indian. Of course, I'm more happy that he won than I would be if another guy would have own. But didn't feel any obligation to vote for him. Certainly I would have same feeling for someone if he/she would be of Nepali madhesi origin and would have own Indian idol. A nepali citizen cannot be an indian idol. And we need not be so proud of an indian idol, whoever it becomes.
A madhesi from Nepal is more close and important to me than an indian of nepali origin. I was born and brought up in madhesh. I'm more happy to claim myself to be a Madhesi rather than a Pahade though my grandparents moved to madhesh in search or a comfortable livelihood.
This madheshi / pahade distinction is taking Nepal back in time instead of moving ahead.
