There are few apartments close to the University in a walking distance. Apartments like Grandmarc at University Village and University Towers are examples of such though they are a bit expensive. But if you share a room with some International students it will be cheaper. It would be a good idea to talk to the students from UCR about accomodation. I live about 12 miles from UCR.
