Hey guys, I agree that there might be some candidates who are not fit to stand up for the society. I also don't think that charging people $5 for voting is right. Why do we have to go there and spend $5 to vote. It should be absolutely free and if it's made free many more Nepalese people would vote. It is not about spending money but it's about the right or the wrong thing and I surely do not agree with the Nepalese Society charging people anything to be able to vote. Regarding Nepalese Society of Texas (NST) being ineffective in doing it's job----that's not true. There might be some private Nepalese parties or other private gatherings what have proven to be wrong but not the Nepalese Society. Infact, it is one of the most effective Nepalese Societies in the US. Whenever any grief has struck anyone in Texas the NST has, time and again, been very helpful and very supportive. It's sad to recall that many Nepalese people lost their lives during the past few years. No matter who they were, regardless of their color, creed, age, or sex, the NST has always been very generous and helpful to the grief-struck family by different means including taking care of all the final rituals. For this reason, I greatly admire the NST and all the people associated with it in doing such a marvelous and an exceptional job. It is really great to see that during the sad moments all the people, including rivals withtin the NST, have come together being very supportive. So, NST with doubt is very, very effective when doing it's jobs. God Bless the NST and it's big-hearted members!!!!!
