I personally liked the Inheritance of Loss but I realize it might not be to everyone's liking. When I recommend that book to my friends from Nepal, I remind them that the books looks at Nepalese from the perspective of Bengalis. It's hard I guess sometimes to see ourselves from the eyes of others. Oh well. What's the other book about? :)
