Daniel, If you have already filed I485 (aka AOS or Adjustment of Status) then you should not leave the US. Doing so will give cause to USCIS to presume that you have abandoned your intention to acquire Green Card. If you have just filed I140 and not I485, then it should be ok for your to travel out of the US. Same goes with OPT. Please clarify with your lawyer. Riten.
