Congratulations to the organization itself on FINALLY having, according to the news above, (after so many years of the organization's existence, I suppose), "संस्थाको ईतिहासमा पहिलो पटक चुनावी प्रक्रिया" to elect its officers this year. I am happy for Poonte & Company, of course, but happier still for the organization's conducting its own elections for the first time. General remark: Nothing is harder and more urgent and more important in Nepal and among Nepali communities than the task of building institutions that are bigger and more lasting than a few personalities. **** That said, the following sentence is needlessly editorial, somewhat typical, I dare say, of over-enthusiastic but clueless Nepali reporters: यसपालीको चुनाबबाट नेपाली जनजातीहरु पनि राजनीतिक रूपले सशक्त रुपमा अगाडि आएका छ्न। Better to get a specific quote or two from some of the newly-elected members and let their words speak for themselves than lump those individuals under the umbrella of "नेपाली जनजातीहरु" Just my two cents.
