This survey was carried out amongst groups of college students, which I presume means there were lots of single men and women free from the constraints of spousal pressure. I am curious to know if the results would have been different if the men and women were married or in a committed long-term relationship. When you are in such a relationship, does the person who feels more responsible (which could either be the man or the woman and vary from relationship to relationship) end up speaking less just to "keep the peace" so to speak? Just a thought.
