My comments below apply in case Maoist leader Prachand did not lose himself in translation while trying to make himself understood in English. Just after watching Prachanda’s interview alone and not taking in consideration the deeds of his party, if there is anyone who thinks, this is a democratic man is completely out of his/her mind. Besides, he seems to be either a very bad liar or just a very confused guy. For example, he says that his party has not surrendered their weapons, yet after few seconds he says they have surrendered all of them. He says he will respect the outcome of the election even if that means his party is rejected; and yet he wants to keep reminding people that they made a mistake. I wonder how. Peacefully? I doubt given his history. He says his militias are in cantonments, yet he admits their presence in YCL. He says YCL has not been involved in terrorists activities, yet he admits the provocation and repercussions of YCL members. Well, I can go on and on and on about every sentence that came out of his mouth. But one this is clear, and that is, he is a dictator. Throughout his interview, he did not seem to calculate what he would say before saying, he would say whatever he felt like, even if that meant contradicting himself many times. He just did not seem to care how he would appear, because he knows, no matter what, Nepalese people will have to accept him and there will be no other choice. Well, it looks like we will be ridding ourselves from one dictator (monarch) and replacing him with another. Wow! What an achievement that is going to be. As a reference of what Prachanda, a rebel leader might become, please look at many countries in Africa. In many African countries, dictators were removed by rebel groups to be replaced by another, even more dangerous ones.
