By the looks of things, even the President is willing to "ignore" the whole issue and allow you guys to move on! That's a great thing. Surely, nobody would listen to an excuse such as working at a store as a volunteer but as we can see, the President is allowing the whole issue to slide down. So in my opinion, keep your fingers crossed and keep praying, the President seems to be on your side. The only thing needed is the letter so you might wanna talk to the Paki and describe the situation ( without forgetting to tell him that the President is looking for an excuse ). As far as the other stuffs are concerned, I urge you guys to make an excuse of transferring with the President in such a way that she feels that you guys are asking to transfer unwantingly. Tell her that in spite of all your hard works and grades ( hope you guys are all good students ), you aren't financially stable and unless the college is willing to offer more scholarships and grants, you will be forced to transfer!
