Auto insurance should also cover some part of the hospital bill. I am sure somebody must have thought about this already, but still I am curious since I couldn't see this issue brought up anywhere. I am personally aware of such incident where the auto insurance covered the hospital bill. And it was applied to the passenger's hospital bill. Driver had only liability insurance, not even full coverage.
