ontario is about the farthest you can get to on the east side of LA metro. the only time i've been there is on the way to the millsl and to vegas ;) i think you should not have a problem getting in touch with nepalis in that area (i am sure there are a few there). you are close to riverside, why don't you visit the temple in riverside and inquire about nepalis? from the web: Lakshmi Narayan Mandir 9292, Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92503 Ph 909-359-4743. i am sorry i am not too familiar with that part of the metro. south asian grocery stores can be another starting point. i think the problem with LA is that unlike smaller metros, nepalis are scattered all over and getting together really requires effort because driving takes a lot of time. btw, what do you do? will you be around for a while?
