Nepal ko choro Reporting from nepal: Why we have Gods like this? Dear npl2us, I think it's very important to share my days here in Nepal with all of you Nautanki loving Nautankies. And of course, who to write to about this, some what, nautanki story expect to you? i am writing it to you not because you cannot keep secrets. I want everyone to read this letter and i hope you will post it in Nautankiland's chronicle as soon as you get this letter. As you know, I am enjoying my stay here. For some reason visiting temples has been so fun lately. It could be because of high volumes of beautiful girls on the line than before at the Mandir's door. I have been visiting different temples everyday, and of course in tipsy mood. Yesterday i went to Guheyswori! i hope i don't have to explain why you have to be tipsy to go and drink Jal at guheyswori. And yes i was not drunk but i was higher than tipsy. After the darshaning Guheyswori mai, my friends decided to go to Pashupatinath walking through the trail that connects these two Mandirs. I enjoyed watching the baadars and the chir-birr of birds along on the way to Pashupatinah. Not to mention, i saw couple of Nanga babas under the influence of ganjaa, lying uttaano on the side walk. I tried to avoid to the seen but the ring caught my eyes! he he he, you know what i mean, right? Or do i have to be specific? I guess not! We got at the Pashupati area and stayed at the bridge over Bagmati river to watch a funeral procession. Man oh man! i have changed a lot. I had too many questions going on my head. i saw a man dying surrounded by his relatives saying "ba ram vannus". People die in the hospital bed after all the efforts from doctors - in the western world. In nepal, i guess, they just give up hope too soon. I would rather give my best shot at the hospital than saying "ram vannus". Won't you? I tried hard to get over with 'ba ram vannus' and headed to darshan Pashupatinaath. You know what? i saw a chana chatpatey at the south side of mandir right next to the parking lot. I thought about you and ate chatpatey. Was spicy enough to take my attention away from the scene i had earlier. At the temple, i darshan each and every murties. Some of them i don't even know which god i darshan. I used to know the names of gods before, but realized i have forgotten most of them. It could be because i have been the States for a while , or i was tipsy at the moment? Later was the case for sure. I went to darshan "unmatta bhairab". You know which one i am talking about, right? That nangai bhagwaan. I entered the door at 'unmatta bhairab", cirle the murti from the left and dhogg his right feet. After the dhog at the right feet, stupid of me, i walked towards the left feet while stooping. That tungba was still acting on my system i guess! Yes! my friend i bumped my head right their of unmatta bhairab. Funny huh? i thought so too. why do we have god like that, anyway? Dontchya worry, i am fine. just bruised my left kanchatt! Will talk to you later. Nepal_ko_Choro. In Jest! All in Nautanki Spirit!
