Did nt Arun Thapa die of aids?? Must say, him and Narayan Gopal are quite amazing.

You know what is amazing? Those of you who have been to a college cafeteria in the US, there is always a table full of Koreans, a table full of Chinese and a table full of Indians. A lot of Nepalis I know always make a comment about how they are always sitting together with their own kind and no one else. Sadly, we are probably worse when it comes to thinking or doing anything outside the box. Similarly, it is unfortunate that a different or contrary opinion is always met with such outrage. I guess sitting with non-nepalis makes you a quiray wannabe and not liking Narayan Gopal makes you an a$$ hole.

Dont get me wrong, I love that "Narayan Gopal and Momo" comment. However, its too bad no one is allowed to voice their opinions just because it is contrary to popular belief. Like eating in the cafeteria together all the time, I guess being Nepali also includes liking the same music.

So much for the pride we take in being a multi-ethnic and diverse culture.... because the diversity is supposed to imply our acceptance of different cultures, different opinions and some freedom of speech.
