First of all, I am so sorry that your College could not help you in this matter. Well you still have time to reinstate your F-1. I was a student back in 1997. I Icame to NYC in April 1997 from Oregon. I was a student at Coosbay Community College. I applied to Cuny in NYC when I came. I waited three months prior to Cuny processes the application. Cuny never sent me an approval. I was out of status at that time. I joined Berkeley College in NYC in September of 1997. I met international advisor and applied for reinstatement. I got an approval after four months. But I studied hard and was a full time student. You need to write an essay about reason out of status and reason to be F-1 student. I think that you can also check with Immigration office to get the re-instatement form and write long story to Immigration officer. They will help and listen your voice as they did to me. You will accomplish your goal as I did. I finished my Bachelor in Accounting from Berkeley College in 2001. Therefore, hurry up and you are never late to do good things in life i.e Education.
