My advice is that go to the bank where you have checking account and ask them to make a secure credit card for you. Secure credit card is actually a card where you make your deposit and then use only that amount. for eg. if you make 500 dollars deposit secure credit card you are eligible to use only upto 500 dollars. Then you can use that card for making any purchase then pay your amount in full each month. the secured card will be held for a year and you cannot withdraw your 500 dollars, then after that the bank will issue or you can get credit card from any other companies. after that you might be eligible to get blue for students from american express.after one year you can get back your deposit with interest. always remember its not good to have too many credit cards, limit to one or two and earn points or gain some rewards.
