poor kid ( I am assuming we are talking about a 21-25 yr old here). I know what he did was wrong-- driving under influence is never good, and some very smart idealists in sajha have already shown us than in this thread. But he needs help, and I know he cannot post bail on his own because of his academic probation. There is a nepalese society down there in dallas, and I know some of those guys are very helpful. Please contact them and have your friend taken out under custody of someone else who has a clean sheet and has been here for a while (legally). That should work for now, and then you will need to hire a lawyer to stop him from being deported. Can someone post a link of that society's web page so that score can help his friend? we all make mistakes, specially at that age, and the beauty is we need to learn from those and move on to better things.
