Nine Giant Indian Firms Under Congressional Investigation and Fire as Part of H-1B Legislation

Report indicates that the Senators send inquiry mails not only to the two giant Wipro and Infosys, but also other seven giant Indian firms. Reportedly the Congressional inquiry letters were sent to the following firms for apparent investigation of potential abuse of H-1B by these firms: Infosys Wipro Tata Consultancy Services Patni Computer Systems I-Flex Solutions Inc. Satyam Computers Services Ltd. Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd. Tech Mahindra Americas Inc. Mphasis Corp. Obviously, the Congress is under sufficient pressure to increase the H-1B annual quota but they are not going to pass legislation to add more numbers without strings for assurance of prevention from abuses and frauds and reinforced investigation authorities to the agencies. Accordingly, the U.S. employers are expected to get the gift of increased H-1B annual visa numbers of sour taste strings of grapes. Such move is not limited to the Durbin bill, but also Lieberman and Hagel bill also intend to add similar features to the H-1B increase bills.
