Nepal Sathi - if you can find a job for her with Nepal's degree sure you/she can go that route. Otherwise how can she come here ? Then F1 is the option. Or if you are planning to get her in Dependent visa ( if that is the case) sure you can do that. She can take her time and plan accordingly. I don't have a so close friend like yours at present but it's the similar case. I am trying to get her (who ever she would be - i will know pretty soon - I haven't met her yet ) in dependent visa. After her arrival she will be joining nurshing college. We will go from there. I have asked her to send her transcripts so I can send to the nursing college for admission and if she will be eligible to take the R.N test with nepal's degree. A friend of mine who is a medical doctor ( originally from india) has suggested to do so. And for verification I asked and heard similar stories from other nepali frieds. Therefore, I would say you ask her to send her Transcripts and send for evaluation. After you get proper advise from nursing department ( advisors) you both can plan. But remember to practice Nursing one must have R.N test passed regardless of where he/she obtained his/her degree.
