Keerinath I might have some of your answers, “Now the maoist fighters were there for their dreams, the security personnel were there for their duty, so that tragedy is not something to be blamed. If you think that people should not revolt at all then I have nothing to say.” Whose dreams were they? People’s or Prachandaa’s. Read Lenin, and you would find that he says that use people for the revolution and connect look at modern day Russia. The bottom line is the communists could not achieve anything for the Russians and it was a false theory that killed 9 million people for nothing. DO you want that to happen in Nepal? Yes we want equality, but Maoism is not the right way to go. “The monarchy and the old feudal, oh yea I like to use that word because that is what it was, system had to be abolished and the maoists did that and i respect them for that.” Who are Maoists to do that? And if they wanted to, how about taking the gradual path. Thousands like me and you more are walking on it using the gradual path. We are not killing anyone and yet don’t think are lesser being to anyone. What makes Maoists so special? ‘Mukti’ from atrocities of society does not mean killing them or putting them on harms way, especially not children. “the only point I am trying to prove is that people needed to revolt and they did and in that some of them also did bad things, but the big thing is that why did they do that ? I'm not trying to say that they did good by looting banks and stuff but how else could they do that ?” Why people need to revolt? Remember most people either Maoists, Army or those who got on the cross-file (school children, teachers and farmers) never wanted this to come to them. They were forced by the Maoist leadership to join the organization and were given arms. Conditions in Nepal were never that bad like china during Mao or Russia during the First World War. The Maoist were simply hungry for power and they forced the poor people to join them with false hopes, which we all know that would never come to be true.
