Not only are all the answers funny, the most funniest is the question itself. Are you serious Daum? what do you mean by good and reasonably priced? its too vague to merit an answer. And you guys answer ain't helping him/her as well. Every company has a Low- end to high-end laptops to reach maximum demographics . A company itself isn't a bad lap-top manufacturer. here are some tips to consider: a)Your definition of a good laptop: A laptop is good if it fulfills your need.Find out what you use your laptop for. Regardless of whats inside, a good aesthetic will always be admired on a hindsight. Just human nature.Macs look good to me but they are no better than other companies in terms of functionality, and they are absurdly expensive. If you enjoy that commercial where a cool mac guy makes fun of a pc guy, then you are more than welcome to contribute to its advertising campaigns. bottom line here: differentiate between low-end vs high-ends.Identify your needs and buy accordingly. Since its a laptop, there are few things to keep in mind which may or may not be important to you. a) Weight of laptop :If you carry your laptop a lot, and the only exercise you get in a day is chopping khasi ko masu ( I was almost tempted to say masturbation hehe) , then you might want lighter ones. But they might be a little more expensive compared to the heavier ones with same specification. Its just like when sugar-free cookies are more expensive than regular cookies. b) heat/noise generated by laptop is also of concern. If you gonna put you top on the lap ( ok not funny), it better run cool otherwise, your boys wont be able to swim happily with the girls down the road , they say.Heat is mostly generated by the cpu( processor), gpu(video card), power supply and the hard drive. Hence proper air circulation is important. Hence the size of the fan, quality of the fan, quality of heatsink for the processor, gpu makes all the difference. High end models( with higher pricing) from brand name companies use better quality parts than low-end models. NOISE is also important, at least to me.I had a friend who had a gateway laptop that gave out a sound like it was gonna fly when turned on. The noise mostly comes from hard-drive, power supply unit, and the fans used and the quality of these parts used make the difference. aight, peace!!
