Hi EightOtwo, I hope you are fine this evening and spirits high! It's a tough question to answer without knowing a person, at least that's how I feel. However, I can simply share what I used to do when I was going through that phase some long time ago - I was mostly alone, life was tough. Not sure where you live? Not important either. I know you can do it! Getting back on the track, I started going to Barnes & Noble almost every day after work. Slowly, I started making friends with lovely people that worked at the cafeteria. I memorized all their names and they always remember to get my tea (blackberry sage - they don't carry it anymore) ready as soon as they see me walk in the store. It is important to ask and remember names - don't you agree? You stand out in the line when you ask/greet someone with their first name. Not to mention the smiles I was getting and all the good books I was able to read for free for hours and hours. The point I am trying to make here is that, with just a minor adjustment in my daily life, I was able to get pass being lonely. 'Forlorn' is a slightly heavy word to use though - I think! Now, I have branched out. I still go to Barnes & Noble at a different location only because I have moved since then. Nowadays, I am more into taking pictures. I hike/walk and believe it or not, have started going to gym for the very first time in my life. Did I mention, driving around for hours? Listening to my fav. music - Man, I get such a natural high. Feels good! I hope you will read this with an open mind. Go out there and do something nice for you - just for yourself! Life is beautiful. Best wishes and lots of success in your life. Peace Out!!!!
