Going to a good university certainly helps to further one's career. But university is just a university. A tool that you make use of in your life's journey. Better the tool, harder it is to get, easier to get things done with it... or so goes the logic. But it also matters what you do with that tool. You could get yourself a Craftsman Power Tool and do nothing but screw some nails in. Or you could get a run-of-the-mill screw-driver and accomplish the same thing and much more. So, I guess, intention, ambition, dilligence, drive are the qualities more important than the tool itself.
