For those of you who love the classic songs from Teesri Manzil ......... RD Burman, the musical genius of the 70s/80s was quite fascinated with Nepali music and would sometimes lift Nepali tunes for his songs. This song "Deewana mujhsa nahi is amber ke neeche" is one such song. If you listen carefully the tune is a xerox copy of the famous Nepali classic "Eh kanchha malai sun ko tara tipi deu na/Tei tara matara hoina jun pani jhari diula." Beautiful songs, both of them! :-)
