I went to same situation by one of the tech fren while doing partition, he deleted the partition for recovery and comp didn't start at all. However, my comp was under warranty and the dell people sent me cd for xp reinstall.....so now i don't have that recovery system but have to use cd if something happes.... so, i don't have solutioin as u don't have warranty
