Arlington man dies after racing wreckBy PAUL BOURGEOIS Star-Telegram Staff Writer An Arlington man who apparently was racing another vehicle on Texas 360 died Sunday when his car smashed into the rear of a sport utility vehicle. Avinash Bajracharya, 22, was driving a 2007 Scion at a "very high speed" when the crash occurred about 10:20 a.m. at Riverside Parkway. Police said the car was northbound on Texas 360 and swerving through traffic when it hit a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche, causing the car to spin out of control, hit a retaining wall and flip twice. Bajracharya was partially ejected. He was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas where he died at 12:22 p.m. The driver of the Avalanche, a 63-year-old Arlington man, was not injured. Witnesses reported that Bajracharya was racing another car on the freeway at the time of the crash. The other car is described as either a gray Audi (possibly a TT or an R8) or a Nissan 350Z. Anyone with information about this car is asked to call the Grand Prairie Police Department Traffic Division at 972-237-8906. This is the fourth traffic fatality in Grand Prairie this year.
