Also, the madhesis in Terai region are not Indians. They are Nepalese people who happen to be dark-skinned and speak languages other than Nepali. That does not make them a non-Nepali. Suggesting that madhesis are not Nepali because they don't speak the national language is like suggesting Bengalis, Assamese, Gujarati and Punjabi people are not Indian. This whole thing going on in the Terai region looks and feels more like an opportunistic move by the madhesi leaders to demand a free state, just like the Assamese and Darjeeling people demanding for a free state. There also seems to be a hand of the Royalists, no doubt, in this ongoing feud.
