Bahunkto - I know my ancestry and you are the last person on the planet who I need to consult about it. Given your tendency to confuse fact with wild fantasy, I wouldn't dream of having you re-write my "banksawali" - other more capable people have already done it for me. I know mine much better than you seem to know yours. Talking about Kumaon and Garwhal being part of Nepal, will the self-declared racist and expert of all things historic tell the folks on Sajha how long they were part of Nepal? Modern day Nepal, as formed by the conquests of PNS and Rana Bahadur Shah, barely controlled the Doon valley for two decades. The Terai has been with us longer than Kumaon or Garwal ever were. So why the double standards? Clearly you are blinded by racism and are too insecure about being a Nepali that you need to deny the Indian ancestry that many in Nepal posses. Ne23pe - So you think I am Indian? Think again for I am not. That's all you can come up with to challenge my argument? My nationality? And that too you got it wrong! Godzilla, Isolated Freak, Ashu and above all Bathroom Coffee - thanks for injecting doses of badly needed sanity into this thread. Bathroom Coffee, we should get together for a beer or something if you are ever in the mood for one :) The fact still remains: ours is a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-religious, multi-cultural society. The only way to keep it together is not through institutionalized racism as some advocate but through a pluralistic political system that reflects the aspirations of all Nepalese - hill or terai.
