All this furore caused by a woman singing about her desire to get married (second?)
Double standard!!!
There are so many songs about men's infidelity or men's polygamy in Nepali folk songs "bhandaar" but noone raises a finger. But a woman speaks and lo - a catastrophe.
I am not a Komal Oli fan nor do I support any feminist movements (I believe feminists want special treatment, not equality - they are like "all men and women are equal but women are more equal") but I also detest the double standard in the society.
Kumar Basnet's "shreemati maita gairachhin", badri pageni's "sasuralima", etc are prime examples of recent folk songs about men's infidelity.
And before I go, I have a question:
what do the pics posted by tuladahal have anything to do with this topic?
