blah, Let me tell you the truth, this british visa officer are very very strict now a days! Last month, i applied for U.K visa from Los Angeles. It was lengthy and detail interview eventhough i have Greencard ( better honored than British Passport in terms of oppurtunities and future), Job & Pay (some of my coworkers are from U.K and i get paid more than them). One of my friend who is going to Nepal via London had same issue in New york to get visa for U.K. Your freind will get U.K. visa If She/He can prove that She/ He is going to Nepal via London, therefore make sure show them Air ticket and do not forget to tel them that " If i wanted to stay , i would have choosen U.S.A rather than U.K." Good Luck and Happy New Year.
