something has to do with the artists themselves too, I think. They should not accept to show up at every place, and be selective of where they perform. Now that is probably easier said than done, but I recall Nepathya doing this 3 years ago--they only played at the ANA convention in Phoenix, and in DC a week later-- both were played before sizeable crowds. Nima and Raju did the same thing last yr-- they only played in very few select cities along the North east, and Toronto-- they also had some pretty good turnout. so maybe it is all of the things described in other posts, but maybe some of the blame has to go to the artists themselves, for being 'available' everywhere.
