Dear HI_nanu, let me answer your questions one at a time. How can you praise a man who holds almost all business in his name and more than 50000 Ropani lands in his family's name ? Answer: First of all, he wasn't a King 5 years ago. He was a businessman then. He conducted business more successfully than any other governement owned entities. And I still believe, establishing industries in Nepal and creating job opportunities in Mother land is alot better than depositing money in foreign banks and forcing poor Nepali work in Qatar, Malaysia and UAE. Regarding the land owned by him and his family, does it matter if Nagarjun Hill or Gorkha Darwar is in name of King Gyanendra or Public Trust when all the individual coming to the place are allowed and it serves as tourist interst. I believe you will agree that these location are more safer and are well managed than other location currently controlled by Nepal government. So, this accusation are merely rhetoric alligation pushed by political leaders to portray themself more clealerthan they really are. Transfering of property of King Birendra's family?? Answer: If you die, according to law in Nepal, your property will get transfered to your Son (currently, i guess even daughter if she is unmarried upto a certain age), and then to your closest immediate family. The property owned by King Birendra simply got transfered to King Gyanendra simply because he was the closest family member alive after royal massacre. Whats so much fuss about it? If you don't like it, simply change the rule regarding property inheritance. But these political leaders will not do that as they fear it may offence the students base they have.
