live_wire what you have said is in many ways correct, that prostitution has always existed and will continue to exist all over the world. I also agree that this should be controlled. As I am against prostitution I can only comment on full control, and to stop it; because there are lots of girls who are forced in to this branch, with or without their will. Some are dragged into this by their civil situation, and some are dragged into it by some stronger force like pimps, who could be anyone, even the girl’s own near relatives. I doubt that girl themselves want to live their life as a prostitute, if they had a choice of proper education and work. It may be true that in some cases that girl may have that mentality, but then I ask my self where they got this idea. I came up with an example: It is like smoking; people start smoking when they are younger, never after they are fully grown both physically and mentally. There may be cases that some start bit older, but unfortunately I have never mate such a person, if they do so then I would say that person is not too clever and is dumb. People start smoking because they see others do it; they are curious and therefore they also want to try it. More then 95 percent of smokers start to smoke because they think holding a cigarette on their hand and smoking is really cool. These kids want to show off among their friends that they are tough; many times group pressure is also involved. Suddenly one day without realizing it; they are addicted to cigarette, and they spend their whole life thinking and trying on how to stop smoking. I believe all the bad hobbit starts the same way. Children’s mind is like a blank piece of paper, what ever you write on it sits there for the rest of their life. So if a child is grown up among a families, groups, and societies; where bad things are practiced as the way of life and that it is the right way, then, these kids when they grow up will never change. They will keep on practicing that for the rest of their life, and will teach their children such way of life. This is a fact that none can deny.
