junkyketo : You should file complaint to the Indian Embasy too! Send by a registered mail to the embassy (cultural section??). You will be pleasantly surprised when you get a response from them. I think the embasy staffs are courteous enough to respond to your letter. Few years back, one Nepalese student on the way to Delhi was seized of his Japanese/Chinese stuffs by Indian Officers while he was travelling by a train. He filed complaint at the embassy. He was surprised he not only got the response from the embassy, but they also tracked down his seized items. Those goods were seized in the middle of nowhere while he was in a train on the way to Delhi. He got his items back after paying some administration fees! (Indian officers argued no foreigners are allowed to bring third country items without paying taxes!) So it does not hurt to tell the embassy what you went through at Delhi Airport!
