okay dear goodjob, to be more specific,,i send RS. 1,50,000.00 a year i.e almost $2000 a year. i have opened a bank account bank account with the 'headmaster' of the school so that i can directly monitor my fund, and he is responsible for all the expenses incurred. those student are studying in a nice "english boarding school" and living in the hostel. the amount i send from here is more than enough for their tuition fees, clothing, food, hostel fees, stationary, books, and everything. with the money which is saved every year, we have decided to take those kids for educational tour. you can choose a nice school at nearby citi,,usually we call it "english boarding school" in small cities. you dont really need to choose a very hi-fi school in kathmandu, they are very expensive and they produce lot of 'weed eddict',,you might know this better than me. so,,in a good school of a small town in nepal,,,30,000 per student per year is more than enough,,with that amount, one student can enjoy his life as if he is a son/daughter of a high class family. so,,if you wanna pick only one kid, its only Rs. 30,000 a year, which is $400 a year, cud be yours a week pay checque!!!!and you will be giving huge effort to your own community, society and country. you can choose little less expensive school that offer hostel also and pick more kids, that also work a lot.
