I find some of the comments above way way "sicker" than Nas's semi nude pics. There is no denying that Madhesi's are treated unfairly. Exception is not a rule. Just because few Madhesis have made fortunes does not mean all Madhesis are rich. However, if all Madhesis were rich, then this would not come up in the first place. But, I do not think you can easily change other people's views (even misguided beliefs) that have been so ingrained in them by making arguments that appeal to emotions. People might feel sorry for what happened to you, but..oh well..move on. Instead, Long term goal of any marginalized community, including Madhesis, should be to integrate with the larger community, not disintegrate.The threshold before you can integrate might be high, but then one has to start from somewhere. Economic liberation of the poor madhesis would probably reduce the exposure of so many madhesi people from those abject humiliations. Since there is an overwhelming majority of Madhesi population in the country, this is a perfect time, when supposedly a new constitution is in the make, to raise their grievances. What I think, they should ask for, is to have their representatives in proportion to the make up of the national population, if it is not already so. That way it will be upon their representatives to bring programs and funding to their regions. --------------
